Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jonjo Bonjo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danijel Novak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jonjo Bonjo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Danijel Novak!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonjo connects with a good right hand that stumbles Novak. Novak circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Novak closes the distance and clinches up with Bonjo, looking for a takedown. Novak pushes Bonjo against the cage but Bonjo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Bonjo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Novak did well to prevent Bonjo getting side control.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Bonjo seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Novak is trying to get back to full guard.
Bonjo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Bonjo tries to pass to full mount but Novak defends it.
Novak is trying to control but can't.
Bonjo is nestled in close to Novak, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bonjo is figuring out what he wants to do next.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bonjo looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Novak wants to improve his position but Bonjo is controlling well.

Bonjo decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Bonjo takes a swing at Novak's ribcage but misses.

Bonjo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Novak is trying to get back to half guard.
Bonjo staying calm.
Novak trying his best to control but Bonjo has mounted him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bonjo cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bonjo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Novak for as long as he can get away with.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Novak is rocked!

Novak is still in real trouble! Can Bonjo finish him?
Bonjo is landing with some decent strikes but Novak is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Novak squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Novak is trying to escape the mount.
Novak wants to control but Bonjo is having none of it.
Novak looks winded!

Bonjo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bonjo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Bonjo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bonjo unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Novak wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Bonjo celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jonjo Bonjo!
