Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Chance!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Topi Simola!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Kavanagh and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simola closes the distance and clinches up with Chance, looking for a takedown. Simola pushes Chance against the cage but Chance circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Chance shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Simola defends it nicely.
Simola bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Simola fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Chance takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Simola throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Simola lands a few punches from side control.
Chance is working to avoid the ground and pound but Simola connects with a decent elbow.
Chance is breathing heavily.
Simola looks up at the clock and then as Chance takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Simola smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Chance takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Chance on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Chance tries to get out of the position.
Simola looks up at the clock and then as Chance takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Simola smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Simola grinds an elbow into Chance's temple.

Chance takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Oh Chance is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Simola lands a strong strike to the head of Chance. That's dazed him! Simola looking to finish here. Chance is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Simola lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
