Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, faris kutum! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kreg Yamovitch! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! kutum changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Yamovitch tries to avoid it but kutum manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Yamovitch to the ground. Yamovitch escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. kutum gets cracked there but stands up to it.
kutum scores a takedown into full mount! Yamovitch is looking to get to half guard. kutum knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yamovitch on the ground. Yamovitch is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Yamovitch regains half guard. Yamovitch trying to control but kutum postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. kutum wants to pass the guard but Yamovitch is defending well. kutum missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. kutum trying to control from Yamovitch's half guard. Yamovitch has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Yamovitch throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Yamovitch is looking for a triangle but kutum pushes his legs off easily.
kutum avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
kutum wants to control from the top but Yamovitch keeps moving. kutum stopping the sweep attempt from Yamovitch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yamovitch looking for a guillotine here but kutum defends easily.
kutum wants to control from the top but Yamovitch keeps moving. kutum will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Yamovitch looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Yamovitch is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. kutum pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Yamovitch is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yamovitch throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Yamovitch escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. kutum gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Yamovitch looking for a sweep. Not yet Yamovitch, not yet. Yamovitch looks gassed! Yamovitch is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. kutum works over Yamovitch with some ground and pound from guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. kutum tries to stand but Yamovitch is controlling from the bottom. Yamovitch is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! kutum rolls with it to try and escape but Yamovitch cranks on the arm and kutum is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
