Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

With a record of 19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kearney McGarrity!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGarrity scores with a jab. Colbert acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
McGarrity connects with a crisp jab.
Colbert lands a jab.
Colbert misses with a body kick.
Colbert moves out of range as McGarrity throws a body kick.
Colbert lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Colbert takes one to the chin there.
McGarrity scores with a punch to the head.
Colbert throws a jab but it's blocked by McGarrity.
McGarrity lands a nice looking body kick.

Colbert tries to sprawl but McGarrity drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Colbert controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Colbert wants to control but McGarrity is keeping busy and won't allow it.
McGarrity is nestled in close to Colbert, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Colbert won't allow McGarrity to pass to mount.
Colbert is trying to maintain the position but McGarrity is very close to passing his half guard.
McGarrity is trying to control. Colbert wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

McGarrity is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Colbert is looking for a sweep. McGarrity is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Colbert gets back to full guard.
Colbert looking to hit a scissor sweep but McGarrity is one step ahead there.

McGarrity won't allow Colbert to sweep him here.
McGarrity throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Colbert works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Colbert working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from McGarrity.
McGarrity trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
McGarrity wants to pass the guard but Colbert is keeping the position.
Colbert keeping moving, preventing McGarrity from controlling successfully.
Colbert wants to get back to his feet but McGarrity is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Colbert tries to bench press McGarrity off him but McGarrity keeps the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McGarrity cracks Colbert with a big right hand but Colbert just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
McGarrity lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Colbert down.

McGarrity in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Colbert is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
