Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Henry Loiseau! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Derick Trotter! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Loiseau ducks under a wild hook from Trotter. Loiseau tries a head kick but it misses.
Trotter misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Trotter staying out of range there. Loiseau fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Trotter. Loiseau shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Loiseau was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Trotter is pushing Loiseau's head away, looking to escape. Loiseau manages to hold on to the position though. Loiseau trying to control the position but Trotter is working away. Loiseau landing a few strikes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Loiseau is looking to take a break and control but Trotter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Trotter is pushing Loiseau's head away, looking to escape. Loiseau manages to hold on to the position though. Trotter takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Trotter is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Loiseau has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Loiseau misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Loiseau is looking to take a break and control but Trotter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Trotter is trying to buck Loiseau off. Loiseau postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Loiseau is putting a hurting on Trotter here, landing some big shots from side control. Loiseau has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Loiseau is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Trotter looks calm but he's in trouble here. Loiseau gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Trotter is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Loiseau lets go of the hold and Trotter can pop his arm back in it's socket.
