Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tony Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dhal Sim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sim has chosen Otherside by Red Hot Chili Pepper as his entrance music. Tony Brown could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dhal Sim's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tony Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dhal Sim! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown misses with a looping right. Sim with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Brown crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Sim - the referee stops the clock and Brown gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Sim. Brown manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Brown throws a sloppy body shot
and Sim counters with a nice leg kick. An inside leg kick lands from Sim. Brown takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Sim takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Brown fails with a takedown attempt. A thudding body kick lands there by Sim!
Tony Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brown tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Sim stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Sim.
Sim staying out of range there. Sim throws a right and a left that both miss. Sim moves away from the strike by Brown. Sim lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Horrible takedown by Brown or perhaps it was just good defense by Sim which made him look bad. Brown misses the shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown throws an overhand right that lands on Sim's shoulder, as Sim tries to avoid the shot. Sim thumps Brown with a low kick. Sim stuffs the takedown attempt from Brown. Brown gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tony Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sim cracks the inside of Brown's front leg. Sim throws a quick inside leg kick. Brown shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sim is trying to defend but Brown finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Brown is trying to control the action in half guard but Sim is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Brown throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Brown trying to control from half guard but Sim is working away. Brown is working for a kimura but Sim is defending it quite comfortably.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown is looking for a kimura but Sim is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Brown to get the leverage. Sim wants to get back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Brown passes to full mount! Sim stops Brown from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Brown is working hard here to advance position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown throwing strikes but Sim recovers to half guard. A much better position. Brown tries to pass to full mount but Sim defends it. Brown seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sim does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Brown is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sim is trying to stand back up but Brown is controlling him
Brown is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sim doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Brown. Brown is working for a submission of some sort.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tony Brown will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Sim feints and then cracks Brown's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Brown down. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Brown. Brown shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sim as he jumps to the side. Sim looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A chopping leg kick lands by Sim. Sim slaps away a takedown attempt from Brown, before circling back to the center of the mat. Dhal Sim seems to be getting the better of the standup. Brown misses with a hook. Sim slips under a jab from Brown. A big left from Brown misses. Sim dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Brown. That did some damage! Brown tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sim was well out of range. Poor timing from Brown. Sim moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Sim tries to sprawl but Brown drives through with a takedown into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sim is defending against the submission attempts here by Brown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Brown is working for a submission of some sort.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Brown wants to free his trapped foot but Sim is holding on for dear life with his legs. Brown frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sim is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Brown goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Sim turns into him and now he's in Brown's guard.

Sim is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Brown has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Sim is looking to defend but Brown has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Sim! Brown pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Sim taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Tony Brown! A very excited looking Tony Brown made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
