Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Iverson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mack Wiatrzyk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wiatrzyk closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Iverson did well to prevent Wiatrzyk getting side control.
Iverson pushes Wiatrzyk off looking to stand but Wiatrzyk dives back in and keeps control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wiatrzyk is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Iverson is trying desperately to improve position.

Iverson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Wiatrzyk dives on top into guard.

Iverson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Wiatrzyk has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Iverson but great work by Wiatrzyk.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Iverson bucks up and tries to throw Wiatrzyk off but instead Wiatrzyk has got his back!
Iverson is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Wiatrzyk.

Iverson is looking to improve his position but Wiatrzyk isn't that keen on the idea.

You get the feeling that Iverson really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Wiatrzyk is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Iverson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Iverson shrugs it off.

Let's hope that Wiatrzyk has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Iverson manages to regain half guard. Good work.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Wiatrzyk seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Mack Wiatrzyk hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Wiatrzyk moves into range and clinches up with Iverson.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Wiatrzyk should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Iverson tries to clinch up but Wiatrzyk circles away and keeps his distance.
Iverson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Iverson shoots in looking for a takedown but Wiatrzyk manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Iverson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Mack Wiatrzyk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jacob Iverson has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Wiatrzyk jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Iverson shoots in and gets a takedown into Wiatrzyk's guard.
Wiatrzyk has his foot on Iverson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Iverson works his way back into a safe position though.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wiatrzyk can do anything to dispel that myth.
Wiatrzyk is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Mack Wiatrzyk comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Wiatrzyk has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
