Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Victor Alderson! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alderson takes a swing at Chalmers's ribcage but misses. Alderson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Chalmers keeps the fight on the outside. Alderson throws a head kick that misses. Chalmers misses with a few strikes there.

Alderson throws a right hand that Chalmers ducks under and follows up with a left that Chalmers also avoids with ease. Alderson fails in his attempt to clinch. Alderson misses with a wild combination.
Chalmers shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Alderson shoots and misses and Chalmers counters with a takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Chalmers working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chalmers in side control, throwing shots but Alderson defends. Chalmers tries for a kimura but Alderson is defending well. Alderson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chalmers. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Chalmers is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Alderson has escaped the position, nice work there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Chalmers looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. You can see the frustration on Alderson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Chalmers is working to tighten is grip on Alderson's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Alderson has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Chalmers is really squeezing tight and eventually Alderson passes out! Chalmers breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
