Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Matt Horwich!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Horwich.

Horwich shoots for a takedown but Wilson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Horwich escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wilson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Horwich stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Wilson.

Horwich darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Horwich feints and as Wilson raises his hands in defense, Horwich changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Horwich tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Horwich has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wilson bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

I think Horwich has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
