Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Felix Sandoval (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rufus Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sandoval comes to the cage accompanied by Overseer - Slayed. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Rufus Speed was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Felix Sandoval! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Rufus Speed! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Joseph Jones and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sandoval. Sandoval lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Sandoval lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Speed keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sandoval scores with a hook. Speed keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Speed ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sandoval moves away. Sandoval swings for the body but Speed moves out of range.
Sandoval swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Sandoval uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Speed.
Sandoval throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Speed's head. A slapping leg kick lands for Speed.
Sandoval throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Speed scores with a leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Speed fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Sandoval checks it well. Speed scores with a nice right hand.
Speed lands the left hand. Speed dives in and scores a takedown into Sandoval's guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Sandoval looking for a guillotine here but Speed defends easily.
Sandoval wants to sweep but no luck. Speed sitting in guard, not really doing much. Speed got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sandoval has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Speed has managed to get both his arms back between Sandoval's legs - danger averted.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sandoval looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Speed passes into half guard.
Speed with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Speed thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Speed trying to control from half guard but Sandoval is working away. Ground and pound from Speed. Speed lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Speed is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Sandoval manages to get to full guard.
Sandoval working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Speed has passed into half guard!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sandoval moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Speed is in close to Sandoval's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Sandoval is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Speed is aware though and is defending well. Sandoval controls Speed momentarily but Speed frees himself. Sandoval keeping moving, preventing Speed from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sandoval has his foot on Speed's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Speed works his way back into a safe position though. Sandoval looking to hit a scissor sweep but Speed is one step ahead there. Speed is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Rufus Speed hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Sandoval lands with a kick to the temple. Speed shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Donk. Sandoval catches Speed right on the button with a cross. Speed throws a right hand that misses
and Sandoval counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Speed! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sandoval throwing shots but missing, from side control. Speed is trying to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Felix Sandoval will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Speed wants to slow Sandoval down by chopping away at his legs. Sandoval misses with a straight left. Rufus Speed seems to be getting the better of the standup. Sandoval misses with a double jab.
Sandoval scores with a nice strike. Speed is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Speed scores with a jab. Speed motions for Sandoval to come forward. Speed throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. A clash of legs there as Speed blocks the low kick. Speed drives through with a takedown into guard.

Sandoval working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Speed. Sandoval working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Speed doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Speed manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Speed stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sandoval swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sandoval controls Speed momentarily but Speed frees himself. Speed postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Sandoval is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Sandoval tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sandoval had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Speed defends it easily. Speed wants to control from the top but Sandoval keeps moving. Sandoval has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Speed is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sandoval.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Speed is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sandoval has escaped the position, nice work there. Sandoval takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Speed scores with punches from side control. Sandoval tries to control but Speed manages to take his back. A lull in the action here.
Sandoval rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sandoval has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Speed escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Speed! Speed scores with punches from side control. Sandoval is looking for a sweep. Sandoval taking a bit of punishment here - Speed scoring with strikes. Speed cracks Sandoval with a big elbow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sandoval is not content to let Speed control the position. Sandoval tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Speed wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rufus Speed showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Sandoval shoots in for a double leg but Speed sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Speed pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Sandoval loads up on a big right hand but Speed slips the punch. Felix Sandoval seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Excellent takedown into side control there by Speed. Sandoval is letting Speed control him for a moment. Sandoval is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sandoval looking for subs from the bottom but Speed mounts him! Sandoval wants to control but Speed is having none of it. Speed lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Sandoval hang on? Sandoval takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Sandoval is squirming around, avoiding Speed's attempts to control the action.

Speed postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Sandoval bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Speed and the fight is over!
