Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aron Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Christmas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Christmas comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Get Up kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aron Chan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lee Christmas ! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Christmas missing with a left hand there. Chan was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Christmas throws the kick towards the body but Chan avoids it. Chan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Christmas circles away. Chan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Christmas connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Chan momentarily.
That kick from Christmas tenderised Chan's leg. Chan is trying to keep his angry face on. Christmas pushes Chan up against the cage in a clinch. Christmas tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. A short uppercut from Chan. Christmas keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Chan's efforts to push away. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Chan takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Chan jumps guard but Christmas turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aron Chan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Still in the clinch, Chan scores with a nice short uppercut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chan with an attempt at a knee that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Christmas advances position into side control! Christmas is staying tight to Chan's torso, preventing him from escaping. Christmas is chipping away with strikes.
Chan tries to buck Christmas off but Christmas is having none of it. Christmas wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chan keeps working. Chan is looking for a sweep. Christmas tries to move into full mount but can't pass Chan's legs. Chan tries to improve position but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Christmas trying to control the position but Chan is working away. Christmas happy to just control the position for now. Chan is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Christmas off and has taken his back! Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Chan.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chan working for a choke but Christmas is defending well. Chan looking for the choke but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Christmas is taking damage to the body and head. Chan is hanging on to Christmas 's back as he tries to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chan lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. Chan lands an elbow to the side of the head. Chan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Chan scores with punches and elbows. Chan controlling well, preventing Christmas from escaping the position.

Christmas turns into Chan and is now in his guard.
Christmas preventing the sweep. Chan throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Chan looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Chan is working hard here to advance position. Christmas wants to pass the guard but Chan is keeping the position. Christmas passes into half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Chan gets full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chan slips under a jab. Chan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Christmas is fending him off so far but Chan persists. Nope, Christmas circles away and we're back to standing. Chan rushes Christmas and presses him up against the cage. Chan pulls guard. Christmas avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Christmas controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Christmas passes Chan's left leg - he's now in half guard. Chan slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Aron Chan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Chan thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Christmas passes into half guard. Christmas is looking for a kimura but Chan is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Christmas to get the leverage. Christmas blocks the strikes from Chan.
Christmas postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Chan to stand up. A telegraphed right hand from Christmas misses the target. Christmas looks to land a right hand but Chan moved out of range. Aron Chan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Chan misses with a body shot
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Christmas scores with a crisp jab that stopped Chan in his tracks. Christmas throws an overhand right that lands on Chan's shoulder, as Chan tries to avoid the shot. Chan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Christmas blocking the ground and pound attempt from Chan. Christmas looking for submissions off his back. Chan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Christmas defends it well. Christmas slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Christmas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Chan distracts Christmas with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Chan postures up in Christmas 's guard and throws a big left but Christmas blocks it. Chan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Chan throwing strikes but missing. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Chan drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Christmas manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Chan has Christmas in his guard. Chan has his foot on Christmas 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Christmas works his way back into a safe position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lee Christmas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Christmas lands a nice hook to Chan's body. Chan takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Chan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Christmas sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Christmas tries a head kick but it misses.

and Chan counters with a good, hard body kick but Christmas shrugs it off. Christmas throws a body kick that misses. Chan fails to land the takedown. Christmas slaps away a takedown attempt from Chan, before circling back to the center of the mat. Horrible takedown by Chan or perhaps it was just good defense by Christmas which made him look bad. Chan tries to close the distance and clinch but Christmas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Christmas looks to land a combination but Chan avoids it well. Christmas swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Chan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Christmas pinned against the cage. Christmas gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Chan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Christmas as he jumps to the side. Good exchange - Christmas coming out on top. Chan dodges the punch combination from Christmas .

That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice sprawl there from Christmas as Chan shoots in. Christmas tries to sprawl but Chan drives through with a takedown into half guard. Christmas wants to control but Chan is keeping busy and won't allow it. Chan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Christmas doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Chan. Christmas is trying to maintain the position but Chan is very close to passing his half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Chan trying to pass the guard but Christmas defending well. Chan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Chan tries to stand and escape but Christmas actually recovers to full guard. Chan landing with the ground and pound. Chan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Christmas is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Chan moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Christmas is one step ahead there. Chan throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Chan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Christmas doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Christmas manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Christmas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Aron Chan. I think Chan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
