The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torrio looks to clinch
and Golota counters with a nice uppercut.
Torrio misses with a kick to the body.
Torrio changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Golota tries to avoid it but Torrio manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Golota to the ground. Golota escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Torrio throws a head kick that misses.
Torrio moves into the clinch.
Torrio breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Golota throws a series of strikes that have Torrio backpedaling.
Torrio throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
John Torrio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Torrio shoots for a double leg takedown but Golota sprawls well. He's pushed Torrio's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
