Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Dray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dray kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Champion. Jake Souza has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ricky Dray's chin.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dray swings widly with a right hand
and Souza counters with a nice leg kick.
Dray changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Souza tries to avoid it but Dray manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Souza to the ground. Souza escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dray ducks under a wild hook from Souza.

Dray shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Souza is trying to defend but Dray finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Dray closes the distance and clinches up with Souza, looking for a takedown. Dray pushes Souza against the cage but Souza circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Souza uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dray.

Souza is fighting off a takedown attempt but Dray is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Souza to the mat. Souza regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dray accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
