The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice straight punches there by Mir. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Mir.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hunt looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mir tries to clinch up.
Hunt shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mir but Mir pushes him off and we're back to square one.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That was a close round but I would say that Frank Mir will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Hunt shoots in looking for a takedown. Mir tries to sprawl out of it but Hunt keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mir manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Mir counters with a left and a right that stings Hunt.
Hunt tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mir swivels and escapes.
Frank Mir is winning the standup battle so far.
Hunt avoids a punch combination nicely.

Mir lands with a kick to the temple. Hunt shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mir, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
