Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Derk Diggler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Derk Diggler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Johnson! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Johnson missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Diggler trying to control here.
Diggler gets full guard. Diggler is trying to keep Johnson in close.
Diggler is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diggler seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Johnson throws an elbow that misses. Diggler uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Johnson's guard. Nice move by Diggler! Diggler wanted to stand there but Johnson had control of the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Johnson keeping moving, preventing Diggler from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diggler is looking to work some ground and pound but Johnson has wrist control. Johnson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Johnson wants to stand but Diggler is controlling the position. Diggler stopping the sweep attempt from Johnson. Johnson lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.
Diggler throws a big right hand that misses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diggler throws an elbow that misses. Johnson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Diggler's guard. Nice move by Johnson! Diggler is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Johnson is controlling him. Diggler will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Johnson preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Diggler swivels though and keeps the full guard. Diggler is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Johnson is controlling him. Johnson throws a strike but Diggler rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Johnson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Johnson thows a huge punch but Diggler dodges it nicely.

That could spell trouble for Johnson! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Diggler thowing shots but they're missing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Derk Diggler will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Johnson is looking to clinch. Diggler misses with a takedown and Johnson counters with a shoot takedown. Diggler fights it but they end up in guard. Diggler wants to get back to his feet but Johnson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Diggler has momentary wrist control but Johnson slips an elbow through the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson is looking to work some ground and pound but Diggler has wrist control. Johnson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Johnson throws a big right hand that misses. Johnson wants to pass the guard but Diggler is keeping the position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Johnson advances to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diggler is trying to stand up here but Johnson is controlling him well. Diggler has hold of Johnson's hands but Johnson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Diggler trying to control here.
Johnson looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson passes to side control. Diggler takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Diggler is positioning himself well to prevent Johnson advancing to mount. Diggler trying to control from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Derk Diggler wasn't doing enough on the ground. Johnson moves into the clinch successfully.

John Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Diggler slips under a jab. Johnson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Johnson scores with a jab. Diggler acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Johnson fails to land with a series of punches.
Diggler fails with the takedown and Johnson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Johnson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson is defending well against a takedown attempt. Diggler is trying to break the clinch but Johnson has him pressed against the cage. Johnson is working for takedown but Diggler is calmly controlling the position for now. Diggler gets control of Johnson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Diggler will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Diggler pulls Johnson in close to his closed guard and prevents Johnson from doing any damage or advancing position. Diggler not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Derk Diggler has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Diggler darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Johnson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Diggler's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Diggler's back! Johnson scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Diggler is looking for a way out. Johnson has got his arm under Diggler's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Diggler has spun round into Johnson's guard beautifully! Well done that man!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Diggler prevents Johnson from getting back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diggler postures up in Johnson's guard and throws a big left but Johnson blocks it. Diggler being controlled here momentarily. Diggler preventing the sweep. Johnson is trying to control the position but Diggler postures up. Diggler looking to sit in guard and control but Johnson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Diggler trying to keep a closed guard but Johnson is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Johnson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Diggler knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
And that's the end of the fight! John Johnson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Johnson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
