Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James Madness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Lok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Madness comes to the ring accompanied by SHOWDOWN . Lok has chosen pepper as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, James Madness! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Damien Lok! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lok dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Madness fails with the takedown. Lok shoots in but no luck this time. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Madness is defended easily by Lok. Madness fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Madness. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lok connects with a right hand. Madness shakes it off. Lok fails in his attempt to clinch. Lok looks to throw the jab but Madness is out of range. Lok misses the shot to the body. Lok feints and as Madness raises his hands in defense, Lok changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Lok preventing the sweep. Lok passes Madness's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Madness actively working from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Madness is looking for a sweep. Lok is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Madness is looking to control Lok's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Madness avoid being mounted? Lok perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Madness taking some punishment here, with Lok in his half guard. Lok takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Lok is trying to control the action in half guard but Madness is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Lok lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Madness is trying to get back to full guard. Lok is taking a breather. Madness says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Madness wants to improve his position but Lok is controlling well.

Lok throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Madness really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lok working the head and body with strikes. Lok seems to be working for a kimura but Madness defends the submission attempt. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Lok sitting and controlling from the half guard. Madness tries to roll over but Lok keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lok lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Lok looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Lok works his foot free and advances to mount. Madness is working to get back to half guard.

Lok wants to control the pace but Madness is squirming around nicely. Madness wants to hold on but Lok pushes him away. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lok punishing his opponent with strikes. Lok tries to control but Madness wriggling away. Lok scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Madness?
Madness is rocked! The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Madness really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Oh Madness is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Lok looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Madness covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Damien Lok! In his post fight interview, Damien Lok started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
