The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riordan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Samvesu can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Riordan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Riordan lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Riordan distracts Samvesu with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Samvesu pushes a forearm under Riordan's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Riordan is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
