Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demian Alva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alva comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Viking Death march-billy talent kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The key to victory for Jeff Wood has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Demian Alva!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Wood pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Alva back to the ropes. Wood follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Demian Alva has been cut.
Wood throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Wood cracks the inside of Alva's front leg.
A lazy left from Wood finds it's target.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Alva takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Wood throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Alva's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Wood dives in looking to finish as Alva flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Wood's strikes! Wood is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Alva's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Alva was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jeff Wood!
