Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wes Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wes Walker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris Palmer! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walker throws a body punch but Palmer moves out of range. Walker pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Palmer takes a jab right on the kisser.
Walker lands with a cross. Palmer stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Palmer throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Walker just misses with a punch to the body.
Palmer is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Palmer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Walker. Walker misses the jab. Walker throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Palmer lands a head shot. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Walker looks to land a right hand but Palmer moved out of range. Palmer smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Palmer dives in and grabs Walker's left leg, looking for a takedown. Walker pushes down on Palmer's head and hops out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Decent striking displayed by Walker there. Walker displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Palmer throws out the jab. Walker misses with a straight right. Walker looks to land a right hand but Palmer moved out of range. Walker lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Wes Walker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Walker connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Walker thuds his right hand into Palmer's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Palmer stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Walker. Walker misses with a series of wild punches.
Walker shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. The fighters circling - Walker throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Palmer misses with an attempted mid kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walker checks a low kick from Palmer. Palmer scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Palmer throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Wes Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Palmer shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Palmer was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Palmer looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Walker tries to get back to half guard but can't. Palmer is trying to ground and pound but Walker uses the momentary lack of control by Palmer to regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Palmer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Walker keeps working. Walker tries to roll over but Palmer keeps him under control. Palmer drops an elbow to the side of Walker's head. Palmer wants to work for an arm triangle but Walker is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Palmer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Walker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walker avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Palmer. Palmer is working for a submission of some sort.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Palmer lands a nice short elbow. Walker wants to control but Palmer is keeping busy.
Palmer wants to take a breather but Walker is having none of it.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Palmer looks to land a strike but Walker avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Walker keeping moving, preventing Palmer from controlling successfully. Palmer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Walker is keeping the position for now. Walker utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Palmer is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Walker utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. That's six minutes gone in the round. Palmer has his hands on Walker's head, controlling the position. Palmer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Walker wanted to stand there but Palmer had control of the position. Palmer keeping full guard, as Walker tries to pass. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Palmer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Walker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Walker would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

He's managed to get a loose triangle. Walker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Walker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Palmer trying to control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Wes Walker. Walker takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Walker jabs Palmer right on the nose. Palmer blinks but takes it well. Walker cracks Palmer with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes. Walker throws a good cross that connects.
Palmer looks to land a left hand but Walker moved out of range nicely. Palmer cracks Walker with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes. An inside leg kick lands from Palmer. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Walker throws out a loose jab but Palmer uses good head movement to avoid it. Walker misses with a hook. Palmer ducked under it nicely.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Palmer throws a leg kick that misses. Walker throws a lazy head kick and Palmer counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Walker is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Palmer pulls his head out easily. Palmer is pressing down on Walker's thigh, looking to free his foot. Walker is holding on for now. Walker is not content to let Palmer control the position. Palmer throwing shots but Walker is blocking nicely. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Palmer is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Walker walks into a stiff left hand from Palmer. Palmer thows a leg kick but Walker checks it and Walker counters with a low kick, right behind Palmer 's knee. Palmer listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

Palmer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Walker as he avoids it easily. Palmer smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Nice sprawl there from Walker as Palmer shoots in. Wes Walker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Palmer. Walker scores with a shot to the body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Walker lands with a hook. Palmer tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Walker throws a leg kick which misses Palmer's front leg but catches the back leg as Palmer tries to avoid it. Walker pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Walker lands a nice hook to Palmer's body. Palmer takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Nice straight punches there by Walker. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Walker. Nice defenses there by Walker. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Walker scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Palmer has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Walker scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Walker looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A looping hook to the body misses from Palmer. Walker does a little dance to reset his feet. Palmer connects with a looping right hand.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Palmer tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Walker misses the jab. Palmer fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Walker looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Palmer scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Walker doesn't seem bothered though. Walker thows a left - swing and a miss! Walker scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Nice cross by Walker. A clash of legs there as Palmer blocks the low kick. Walker throws a hook but Palmer avoids it easily. Walker throws an overhand right that lands on Palmer's shoulder, as Palmer tries to avoid the shot. Walker takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

and Palmer counters with a takedown into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Palmer tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Palmer is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Walker has escaped the position, nice work there. Palmer postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Palmer tries to score with some ground and pound. Walker controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Palmer is looking to take a break and control but Walker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Chris Palmer has got the better of the ground game so far. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
