Diaz's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, "I'm A Souljah". Derrick Williams has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Carlos Diaz's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Diaz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Diaz has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Derrick Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diaz moves in looking to clinch but Williams pushes him off.
Williams lands a really nice looking cross but Diaz seems unphased.
Diaz doesn't manage to clinch there - Williams circles away.
Diaz fakes the leg kick and cracks Williams in the body.
Diaz ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Williams throws out a powerful jab.
Williams scores with a crisp jab that stopped Diaz in his tracks.
Williams throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Williams swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Williams forces Diaz back against the cage and clinches.
Stalling in the clinch from Williams.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Diaz looking for a takedown.

Diaz has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Williams avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Williams works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Williams takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Derrick Williams.

Williams moves into the clinch successfully.

Diaz goes for a takedown attempt but Williams pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

and Williams counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Diaz lands a high kick!
A jab from Williams finds it's way through Diaz's defenses.
Williams misses with a hook
and Diaz counters with a big head kick but Williams shrugs it off.
Williams keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Diaz doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Williams scores with a punch to the head.
Williams misses with a hook.
Williams throws a combination. Diaz tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Williams lands a glancing blow to the side of Diaz's head.
Diaz bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Derrick Williams is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Diaz is rocked!
Williams scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Oh Diaz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Williams bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Diaz closes the distance but Williams moves to the side
and Williams counters with a big right hand! Oh Diaz is in trouble here! Williams follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Derrick Williams!
