The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nguyen slips a straight right by Elo.
Elo shoots for a double leg takedown but Nguyen sprawls well. He's pushed Elo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Elo fails to land with a series of punches.
Elo lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
It looks like Luan Nguyen has been cut.
Elo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Elo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nguyen keeps working.
Elo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Nguyen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Elo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Elo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Nguyen wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Elo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nguyen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Elo has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Nguyen defend it? Elo steps over the head and cranks it - Nguyen is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Elo!
