We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soares misses with a wild body shot.
Smith scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Soares fails with the takedown.

Soares fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Smith, pushing him back against the cage.
Smith wants to get back to striking at distance but Soares won't allow it.

Soares manages to break the clinch.

Oooooh!!! Smith has knocked Soares down with a huge combo! Smith steps away and waves a wobbly Soares back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Soares is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Smith keeps the fight on the outside.
Oh Soares is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Soares fails in his attempt to clinch.
No joy there for Smith, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Soares seems to have got his legs back now.

Smith lands a big uppercut and Soares crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Soares looks OK. Smith waves Soares back to his feet!

It looks like Rickson Soares has been cut.
Soares gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Soares tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Smith is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Soares buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Soares!! Soares is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Smith throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
