Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Caron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and New Dalton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, John Caron! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, New Dalton! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Ivan Kurochkin and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Caron thows a left - swing and a miss! Dalton doesn't manage to clinch there - Caron circles away.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Caron tries to clinch but Dalton is having none of it. Dalton scores with the left hand. Caron knows he should have avoided that one. Caron looks to clinch and Dalton counters with a crisp one two that drops Caron! Dalton thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Caron to his feet! Caron is in big trouble! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dalton misses with a series of wild punches.
Caron wants to clinch up but Dalton keeps it at a distance. Caron shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dalton defends it nicely. Caron gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Dalton is trying to break free. Caron scores with a shoulder strike. A nice left hand lands by Caron.
Caron blocks an uppercut.

Caron drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Caron lands a hook to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Caron breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dalton tries to bum rush Caron with a series of wild strikes but Caron uses good footwork to avoid the assault. New Dalton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Caron tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Caron gets in close and instigates a clinch. Caron tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Caron tries a knee to the head but Dalton blocks it.
Caron is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Caron. That's going to take a lot out of him. Caron throws a knee to the head but misses.
Caron lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Dalton blocks a body shot from Caron. Caron could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Caron escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nice sprawl there from Dalton as Caron shoots in. Dalton cracks Caron with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dalton clinches up against the cage. Caron pulls guard successfully.
Caron bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dalton's guard. Caron prevents Dalton from getting back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Caron throws a big elbow that misses. Caron trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Dalton preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Dalton wants to stand and escape but Caron is having none of it. Caron working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Caron with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Dalton looks winded! Caron trying to control the position from guard on top but Dalton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Caron is looking to work some ground and pound but Dalton has wrist control. Caron throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Caron postures up in Dalton's guard and throws a big left but Dalton blocks it. Dalton is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Caron is controlling him. Dalton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Caron. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dalton utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Caron stands up from guard. Let's bang! Caron clinches up with Dalton and pushes him back against the cage. Caron pulls guard successfully.
Caron has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Caron is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Dalton has his hands clasped together but Caron extends an breaks Dalton's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Caron.
