Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phil Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and MC Hammerfist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hammerfist is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: 2 legit 2 quit - MC Hammer. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Payne connects with a jab.
Payne has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hammerfist finds it's way round the side to connect with Payne's head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Payne lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Payne wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Hammerfist feints and as Payne raises his hands in defense, Hammerfist changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hammerfist.
Hammerfist dives in and grabs Payne's left leg, looking for a takedown. Payne pushes down on Hammerfist's head and hops out.

and Hammerfist counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Payne crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hammerfist - the referee stops the clock and Payne gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hammerfist. Payne manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

The ref stands the fighters back up. MC Hammerfist was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Hammerfist shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hammerfist was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
