Bates comes to the cage accompanied by Kansas-Dust In The Wind. Koon has chosen Zion - Fluke as his entrance music. Chris Bates could well score a knockout today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bates keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Koon closes the distance and clinches.

Koon is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bates sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Koon fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bates sprawls well initially but Koon persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Bates moves into range and clinches up with Koon.
Bates is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Koon to keep the fight standing.
Koon has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bates avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
