The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Solano has a takedown stuffed. Gonzalez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Solano looks for a takedown but Gonzalez sprawls well. Gonzalez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Solano's guard. Solano has Gonzalez pulled in close to control his posture. Solano trying to keep a closed guard but Gonzalez is proving a slippery customer.
Gonzalez wanted to stand there but Solano had control of the position. Gonzalez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Solano controlling Gonzalez's posture.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Norberto Solano. Solano drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Gonzalez, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
