Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chester Haven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ashton Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Chester Haven has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chester Haven! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ashton Ellis! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ellis shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Haven napping and manages to drive through into side control! We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Haven tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ellis wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Haven is not content to let Ellis control the position. Haven tries to get back to half guard but can't. Ellis works to advance to full mount. Haven defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Haven keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Ellis controlling the pace for now. Haven tries to reverse the position but Ellis maintains control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ellis controlling his opponent. Haven can't escape the position.
Haven slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Haven tries to roll over but Ellis keeps him under control. Haven gets back to full guard.
Ellis controls from within his opponent's guard. Haven is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Haven looking for a guillotine here but Ellis defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ellis stays in close to Haven's body and controls the position. Ellis tries to free his leg and advance position but Haven is retaining full guard. Ellis wants to stand but Haven is controlling his posture from full guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Ellis content to stall in guard here. Haven trying to control the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ashton Ellis wasn't active enough on the ground. Ellis shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Haven manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ellis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Haven. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ellis got a little sloppy there for a moment and Haven has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ellis has managed to get both his arms back between Haven's legs - danger averted. Haven looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Ellis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Haven had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ellis defends it easily. Ellis is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Haven throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ellis not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Ellis tries to stand but Haven is controlling from the bottom. Ellis controls from within his opponent's guard. Haven is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ellis wants to stand but Haven has a closed guard, so he can't escape. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Haven looking for a sweep. A close round but Ashton Ellis will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Ellis throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Haven tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ellis is in Haven's guard. Ellis is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Haven looking for a guillotine here but Ellis defends easily.
Ellis wants to control from the top but Haven keeps moving. Haven looking for a sweep. Not yet Haven, not yet. Haven tries to land a sweep but no joy. Haven has a closed guard, preventing Ellis from standing up. Haven has his foot on Ellis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ellis works his way back into a safe position though.

Haven is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ellis content to control rather than advance. Ellis is pressing down on Haven's thigh, looking to free his foot. Haven is holding on for now. Haven regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ellis would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Haven looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Haven looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Ellis is looking to stand up but Haven won't let him. Haven wants to sweep here but Ellis controlling him for the moment. Ellis is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Ashton Ellis. Ellis gets a takedown into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Haven keeping moving, preventing Ellis from controlling successfully. Ellis slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
