Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cory Trevor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cory Trevor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jesus Jones! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trevor throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Trevor is defended easily by Jones. Jones tries to sprawl but Trevor drives through with a takedown into half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Trevor is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Jones tries to kick Trevor off but Trevor keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones is trying to control but can't.
Trevor thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Trevor will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Jones trying to control but Trevor postures up.
Trevor lands with a punch from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trevor throwing shots but Jones is blocking nicely. Jones taking some punishment here, with Trevor in his half guard. Trevor throwing shots but Jones is blocking nicely. Trevor throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Trevor missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Trevor has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Trevor throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Trevor not landing any meaningful shots this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Trevor working Jones over with strikes. Jones is looking to improve his position.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Trevor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Trevor missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jones desperately trying to maintain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trevor thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jones's head. Jones on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Jones slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones wants to stand and escape but Trevor is having none of it. Trevor throws a big elbow that misses. Trevor loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Trevor is one step ahead there. Trevor with a nice head shot there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trevor trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Trevor throws a strike but Jones rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jones is stalling in the full guard. Jones throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Jones must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Trevor has his foot on Jones's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jones works his way back into a safe position though. Trevor is looking for a triangle but Jones pushes his legs off easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones wants to control from the top but Trevor keeps moving. Trevor is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Jones frees his head nicely. Oh but Trevor has switched to an armbar! Jones is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
