Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter tries to clinch there but Thomas circles away.
Thomas misses with a left hand
and Hunter counters with a series of strikes. Thomas will be more careful next time no doubt.
Hunter misses with a series of wild punches.
Thomas misses the jab.
Thomas throws an off balance right hand
and Hunter counters with a stiff right hand.

Thomas changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hunter looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Thomas creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Hunter sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Hunter is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Thomas is controlling him well.

Thomas tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Thomas has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Thomas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hunter wants to get back to his feet but Thomas drags him back down.

An elbow from Thomas crashes against the mat.
Thomas throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Thomas looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Hunter is avoiding damage well.

Hunter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Thomas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hunter avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Thomas.

Thomas scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Hunter is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Thomas can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
