Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ongka Ongka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Snooker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ongka kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Abebe. Ongka Ongka has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ongka Ongka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sam Snooker! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snooker gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Ongka counters with a nice double leg into guard. Ongka not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Ongka wants to pass the guard but Snooker is keeping the position. Ongka slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Snooker keeping moving, preventing Ongka from controlling successfully. Ongka trying to move into half guard but instead Snooker has managed to sweep!
That's one minute gone in the round. Ongka keeping full guard, as Snooker tries to pass. Snooker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ongka throws a low kick but Snooker moves out of range easily. Snooker stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Snooker wants it to stay on the feet. Ongka shoots in but Snooker avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's four minutes gone in the round. Snooker fails with the takedown so Ongka counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Ongka trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Snooker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ongka paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ongka is looking to score with low kicks. Snooker closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Ongka drops down looking for an ankle pick but Snooker pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ongka circles away from the clinch attempt and Ongka counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Ongka pushing down on Snooker's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Ongka is keen to just control but Snooker is a slippery customer. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ongka Ongka. Snooker closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ongka to the mat! Ongka manages to get full guard. Ongka looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ongka is working hard here to advance position. Snooker throws a big elbow that misses. Ongka controls Snooker momentarily but Snooker frees himself. Ongka Ongka overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Snooker is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Ongka not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Ongka here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ongka wants to sweep here but Snooker controlling him for the moment. Ongka looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Snooker puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Snooker is looking for a kimura here.

Snooker landing strikes from the mount and Ongka is in trouble! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Snooker trying to control but he's not successful this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Ongka Ongka will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Sam Snooker hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Ongka drives through with a takedown into guard. Ongka trying to control but Snooker is working from the bottom. Snooker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ongka can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Snooker is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Ongka dives into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Ongka wants to lay and pray for a moment but Snooker keeps working. Ongka tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ongka has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! A lull in the action here.

And that's the end of the fight! Ongka Ongka showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ongka, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Ongka Ongka! Ongka Ongka decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
