The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to clinch but Path moves out of range.

Path dives in and scores a takedown into Silva's guard.

Path uses his free foot to push down on Silva's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Silva.

The referee warns Silva that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Path takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Path. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Silva wants to hold on but Path pushes him away.

Silva is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
Silva is in all sorts of trouble here.
Path tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Path seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Silva for as long as he can get away with.
