Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abner Haines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Lumsden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lumsden misses with a takedown and Haines counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Lumsden! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Haines scoring with punches and elbows. Haines could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Haines cracks Lumsden with an elbow. That is naaassty. Haines trying to control the action but Lumsden is working from the bottom. Haines lands an elbow. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lumsden is trying to get back to half guard. Lumsden struggling a bit here. Haines thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Haines is putting a hurting on Lumsden here, landing some big shots from side control. That's one minute gone in the round. Haines tries to advance to mount but Lumsden denies him. Lumsden wants to get back to his feet but Haines drags him back down. Possibly, maybe, no Haines has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Haines is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Lumsden looks calm but he's in trouble here. Haines gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Lumsden is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Haines lets go of the hold and Lumsden can pop his arm back in it's socket.
