Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Doctor Swmswomly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Blake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swmswomly swings and misses with a hook to the body.

so Blake counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

This has been an exciting period of action!
OK we're going to have a standup here. Tyson Blake hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Blake tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Doctor Swmswomly is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Swmswomly stalks Blake and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Blake's face. Blake staggers backwards, shaken.
Blake tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Swmswomly was well out of range. Poor timing from Blake.

Blake is taking a breather. Swmswomly says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Blake drops back looking for a leg! Swmswomly is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Swmswomly manages to kick Blake off! Blake jumps back into Swmswomly's guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Blake counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Swmswomly throws a head kick but Blake moves out of range.
Blake throws a series of punches but Swmswomly avoids them all with ease.
Blake closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Blake is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Swmswomly is looking to regain half guard here but Blake keeps moving and retains side control.

Let's hope that Blake has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Swmswomly is pushing Blake's head away, looking to escape. Blake manages to hold on to the position though.

Swmswomly tries to buck Blake off but Blake is having none of it.
Blake cracks Swmswomly with a big right hand but Swmswomly just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Swmswomly has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Blake is proving hard to escape from.
