The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandez is looking to clinch but Sanchez is avoiding it.
Sanchez looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Fernandez with a poor takedown
and Sanchez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Fernandez throws a sloppy head kick and Sanchez moves out of range easily.
Sanchez shoots in looking for a takedown but Fernandez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sanchez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fernandez is defended easily by Sanchez.
Fernandez is looking to clinch.

Fernandez gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Fernandez turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Fernandez manages to end up in side control.
Fernandez creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Fernandez trying to control the position but Sanchez is working away.

Fernandez slows the pace down.

Fernandez decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Fernandez darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Fernandez wants to pass to mount but Sanchez is defending the position.
Fernandez seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Fernandez stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Fernandez has managed to clinch.
Fernandez has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Sanchez avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Lenard Sanchez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juan Fernandez.
Fernandez wants to take the fight to the mat but Sanchez manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Fernandez goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sanchez prevents it.
Sanchez is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Fernandez is keeping busy.

Fernandez is trying to maintain a safe position but Sanchez gets an underhook and turns Fernandez into the cage.
Fernandez wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Fernandez can't break the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fernandez will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Sanchez up against the cage.
Fernandez stops a takedown attempt from Sanchez.

Sanchez tries to clinch but Fernandez is having none of it.
Fernandez tries a head kick but it misses.
Fernandez tries to bum rush Sanchez with a series of wild strikes but Sanchez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Fernandez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sanchez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Fernandez is looking to clinch but Sanchez is avoiding it.

Fernandez clinches with his opponent.

Fernandez pulls guard.
Fernandez has control of Sanchez's left arm, preventing Sanchez from doing any damage.
Sanchez is stalling in the full guard.
Sanchez trying to stand up but can't free himself from Fernandez's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fernandez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sanchez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Fernandez keeping moving, preventing Sanchez from controlling successfully.

Sanchez is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Fernandez has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Sanchez is looking to defend but Fernandez has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Sanchez! Fernandez pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Sanchez taps out and this one is all over!
