Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leigh Manihera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Weiss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steven Weiss is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Manihera feints and as Weiss raises his hands in defense, Manihera changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Weiss wants to sweep here but Manihera controlling him for the moment.

Manihera gets to his feet - Weiss follows without any prompting.
Manihera fails to land the takedown.
Manihera shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Weiss as he jumps to the side.
Weiss tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Manihera manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Manihera turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Manihera manages to end up in side control.
