The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Verhoeven pushes Carlsson away with a front kick.
Verhoeven tries for a takedown but Carlsson circles away easily
and Carlsson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Carlsson.
Carlsson has gone for a leg lock! Verhoeven slips out almost immediately though and dives into Carlsson's guard.
Carlsson is looking to sinch up a triangle. Verhoeven throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Carlsson's body to avoid the submission. Carlsson has instead reached around Verhoeven's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Carlsson arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
