The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aconte doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Gesta counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Aconte tries to pull guard but Gesta forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Gesta lands with a left to the head.
Gesta tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Aconte's elbow.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Gesta.
Aconte is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Gesta gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Ismael Gesta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Magnus Aconte.
Still in the clinch, Gesta scores with a nice short uppercut.
Gesta makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Aconte gets control of Gesta's arms and successfully pulls guard. Aconte will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Gesta engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gesta has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Aconte to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Gesta is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Aconte pulls down on the head and he's put Gesta to sleep! This one is all over!
