Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eric Tualagi!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tualagi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Anderson tries to avoid it but Tualagi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Anderson to the ground. Anderson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Anderson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Tualagi tries to clinch but Anderson moves out of range.

Anderson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Tualagi tries to buck Anderson off but Anderson is having none of it.
A control attempt from Tualagi but he's now mounted!
Tualagi tries to buck Anderson off but he can't manage it.
Tualagi tries to hold on but Anderson pushes him away.
Anderson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Anderson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Tualagi for as long as he can get away with.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tualagi can do anything to dispel that myth.
Anderson lands a big elbow.
Tualagi is trying desperately to improve position.
Anderson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Anderson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Tualagi to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Tualagi shrugs it off.
Anderson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Anderson putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

Anderson quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Anderson but it's paid off an Tualagi is forced to tap! Nice work by Anderson.
