Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Sandrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Gautheir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sandrom might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sand Man. On his way into the cage it seems that Jason Sandrom has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jason Sandrom seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gautheir looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sandrom is fending him off so far but Gautheir persists. Nope, Sandrom circles away and we're back to standing.
Sandrom changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gautheir tries to avoid it but Sandrom manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gautheir to the ground. Gautheir escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sandrom feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sandrom accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Sandrom drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gautheir looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gautheir looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gautheir!

Sandrom uses his free foot to push down on Gautheir's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gautheir.
