1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Juan Ramirez! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pereira leaves Ramirez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Pereira moves into range and clinches up with Ramirez. Pereira with a knee to the head.
Pereira makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Pereira with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Pereira landing knees to the head.
Pereira stops a takedown attempt from Ramirez.
Pereira throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Ramirez blocks it with crossed arms. Pereira tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Tiago Pereira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juan Ramirez. Pereira looking to throw knees to the head but Ramirez is blocking nicely.

Pereira is fighting it off but Ramirez persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Pereira's guard against the cage. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Ramirez drops back, looking for a kneebar! Pereira looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Pereira looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pereira! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ramirez tries to bench press Pereira off him but Pereira keeps the position. Ramirez gets back to half guard. Ramirez actively working from the bottom here. Ramirez slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Pereira wants to stand but Ramirez has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramirez has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Pereira should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Ramirez has tightened it up now! Pereira should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Juan Ramirez very nearly forgot to thank Dragon amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name.
