The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pereira leaves Ramirez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Pereira moves into range and clinches up with Ramirez.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Ramirez drops back, looking for a kneebar! Pereira looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Pereira looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pereira!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ramirez tries to bench press Pereira off him but Pereira keeps the position.
Ramirez gets back to half guard.

Pereira wants to stand but Ramirez has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Ramirez has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Pereira should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Ramirez has tightened it up now! Pereira should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Juan Ramirez very nearly forgot to thank Dragon amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
