Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santiago comes to the cage accompanied by Eye of the Tiger. Jon Jones has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Alex Santiago's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Santiago! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Jones! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santiago tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Santiago somewhat. Jones wants to slow Santiago down by chopping away at his legs. Jones connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Santiago momentarily.
Jones looks to score with a jab to the body but Santiago is just out of range. Jones pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Santiago shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jones throws a chopping leg kick but Santiago manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Jones closes the distance and clinches. Jones lands with a short shot to the head. Jones lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Santiago is trying to pull guard but Jones turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Santiago. That's going to take a lot out of him. A nice right hand lands inside from Jones.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santiago has Jones pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jones manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Jones pushes Santiago against the cage. Jones is working some dirty boxing. Jones pushes off with a quick right hook! Santiago goes down! Santiago tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Jones moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Jones! During a confident post fight interview, Jon Jones thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
