Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jeff Yank! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Frankie Drake! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yank rushes Drake and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Yank is trying to stall.
Drake avoids a wild elbow strike from Yank. With the fighters up against the cage, Yank throws an elbow but misses. A nice right hand lands inside from Drake. Drake tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Yank blocks a punch to the side of the head.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Drake. Yank is trying to pull guard but Drake has him pressed against the cage. Drake is stalling here.
Yank misses with a punch on the inside.
Drake dodges an elbow strike from Yank.
Drake avoids a wild elbow strike from Yank. Drake gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Yank.
Still in the clinch, Drake scores with a nice short uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yank tries to break the clinch but Drake is controlling the position. Yank fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeff Yank. That's going to take a lot out of him. Drake wants to break free but Yank has control.
Yank wants to stall.
Drake throws a head punch that misses. Drake swings wildly with an uppercut but Yank uses good head movement to avoid it. Drake jumps guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Drake is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yank knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Drake on the ground. Drake pulls Yank in close to prevent any damage. Yank trying to control the position from guard on top but Drake is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jeff Yank. Yank darts in and clinches Drake up against the cage. Drake looking for a takedown. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Drake just misses with a elbow thrown towards Yank's brow. Drake blocks the elbow strike.
Drake has Yank pressed against the cage.
Yank has a couple of punches blocked by Drake.
Drake keeps control of Yank as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Drake lands a takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Drake advances to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drake throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Drake takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Let's hope that Drake has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Yank on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Drake trying to control from half guard but Yank is working away. Drake is looking to advance position but Yank won't allow it. Drake passes to side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Yank is not content to let Drake control the position. Drake landing a few strikes. Yank can't do much from the bottom here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Drake staying calm. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frankie Drake dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Yank throws a nice inside leg kick. Yank lands a two punch combo.
Yank clinches up with Drake and pushes him back against the cage. Yank is trying to drag Drake to the mat but Drake just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Yank stalling the fight.
Yank blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Yank tries to pull guard but Drake won't allow it.
Drake fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Drake lands a left hand.
Yank tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Yank is trying to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yank goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Drake throws a head punch that misses. Drake dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Yank drops down looking for an ankle pick but Drake pulls his leg out and moves away.

Drake lands a shoulder strike. Drake avoids the elbow strike from Yank, against the cage.
Drake creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Yank misses with an elbow over the top.

Drake's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Drake rushes Yank and presses him up against the cage. Jeff Yank has scored more points in the clinch so far. Yank tries to pull guard but Drake forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Yank lands a nice elbow from the clinch. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. A short uppercut from Drake. Drake controlling the action here for a moment.
Drake gets control of Yank's arms and successfully pulls guard. Drake will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Drake escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Yank gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Drake has control of Yank's left arm, preventing Yank from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yank throwing strikes but missing. Yank trying to control the position from guard on top but Drake is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Drake seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Drake keeping moving, preventing Yank from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jeff Yank. Drake takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Drake rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Yank counters with a left and a right that stings Drake. Drake tries to score with a low kick but Yank moves his leg out of the way. Drake scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Jeff Yank has been cut. Yank has taken the fight to the clinch.
Yank trying to control the position but instead, Drake has worked for underhooks and has pushed Yank into the cage. Drake has Yank pressed against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Yank taking a breather. Yank pressing his opponent against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frankie Drake showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Jeff Yank's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Yank pushes off an throws an elbow but Drake leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Drake avoids a wild elbow strike from Yank. Yank blocking some punches.

Yank gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Drake.
Drake has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Yank is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yank just leaning against Drake, taking a breather. Drake lands a left hand that snaps the head of Yank backwards. Yank escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Yank forces Drake back against the cage and clinches. Yank is trying to drag Drake to the mat but Drake just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Drake lands with a light punch inside. Drake keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Yank's efforts to push away. Drake drops down looking for an ankle pick but Yank pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jeff Yank has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frankie Drake. Yank shoots in looking for a takedown but Drake manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Yank's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yank clinches up with Drake and pushes him back against the cage. Drake controlling the action here for a moment.
Yank is looking to take this one to the mat. Drake is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Yank gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Drake goes for a takedown in the clinch but Yank prevents it.
Drake lands an uppercut. Drake can't break the clinch.

Yank throws an elbow but it's blocked.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Drake has Yank pressed against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Drake dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Yank throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Yank tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Drake avoids it. Yank taking a breather. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Yank just misses with a elbow thrown towards Drake's brow. Drake lands a hook that snaps the head of Yank backwards. Yank stalling in the clinch but Drake improves position. Drake has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Yank regains guard immediately. Drake pushing down on Yank's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Drake is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Drake is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Drake frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Drake looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Drake landing shots from mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Frankie Drake comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Drake winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
