PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between The Repo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Rets (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Repo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Mr Vegas Heads High. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Repo fails with an attempt to clinch.
Repo is looking to clinch.
Repo fails in his attempt to clinch.
Repo tries to clinch there but Rets circles away.
Repo fails in his attempt to clinch.
Rets misses with a takedown attempt - Repo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Repo forces Rets back against the cage and clinches.
Repo lands a good knee to the midsection. Rets won't want to take too many of those.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Rets gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Repo.
Repo tries to score a body lock takedown but Rets shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Repo ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Repo no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Rets slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Rets pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Repo is keeping the position for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rets trying to control the position from guard on top but Repo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Rets content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Repo has locked up a guillotine! Repo's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Rets is holding on here and Repo must be using up a lot of energy. Rets has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Repo gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
