Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Dunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jarmo Lenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dunn comes into the arena with I Aint got no Worries blaring out of the sound system. Michael Dunn has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Michael Dunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jarmo Lenko!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunn lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Dunn tries to clinch up.
Dunn wants to clinch.
Lenko takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Dunn checks a leg kick.
Lenko bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Dunn wants to clinch
and Dunn takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dunn throws a good cross that connects.
A left lands for Dunn.
Lenko gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Lenko scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Dunn is trying to get back to half guard.
Lenko scores with punches from side control.

Lenko working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Lenko working the body and head with strikes.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Lenko is trying to get an arm triangle but Dunn is defending well.
Dunn is looking for a sweep.

Lenko tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lenko has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Lenko tries for a kimura but Dunn is defending well.
Lenko throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Lenko has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Dunn!
Lenko has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dunn really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Dunn is in a horrible position here. Lenko smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dunn is trying to stand up.

Lenko with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Lenko has hold of Dunn's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dunn manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Dunn is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Lenko working for a guillotine from mount but Dunn is in no mood to give up.

Lenko wants to finish this one by submission but Dunn is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Lenko.
Lenko scoring with strikes but Dunn is staying in there.

Lenko looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Lenko working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Lenko raining down hammerfists from mount.

Lenko jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Dunn manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Lenko tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lenko has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Dunn is looking for a sweep.
Dunn regains half guard.
Lenko thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dunn's head.

Lenko is working for a kimura but Dunn is defending it quite comfortably.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dunn is looking to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Dunn makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
The fight stays on the outside here - Dunn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Dunn connects with a right hand. Lenko shakes it off.
Dunn lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Lenko backs up against the cage.
Dunn tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lenko was well out of range. Poor timing from Dunn.
Lenko looks to throw the jab but Dunn is out of range.
Lenko thows a left - swing and a miss!
Good work by Dunn as he checks the leg kick.
Dunn lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Lenko backs up against the cage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Dunn thows a body shot but no joy.
Dunn feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lenkos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Lenko waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Dunn.
Dunn throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Dunn misses with the combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jarmo Lenko dominated that round.
That's time! Dunn's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Lenko fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lenko scores to the head and body with a nice combination!


It looks like Michael Dunn has been cut.
Dunn throws a series of punches but Lenko moves out of range.
Lenko misses with a body shot.
Dunn throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lenko sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Lenko blocks a jab.
Michael Dunn is winning the standup battle so far.
Dunn wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Lenko misses with a looping left.
Dunn throws out a powerful jab.
Lenko throws a leg kick that misses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A telegraphed right hand from Lenko misses the target.
Dunn scores with a decent looking hook.
Lenko circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dunn swings for the body but Lenko moves out of range.
A combination from Dunn does no damage.
Lenko swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Dunn connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Lenko momentarily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dunn loads up on a big right hand but Lenko slips the punch.
Dunn is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Lenko shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dunn's guard.

Lenko pushing down on Dunn's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Lenko thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Lenko looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dunn with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Lenko thows a huge punch but Dunn dodges it nicely.
Lenko lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Lenko has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Dunn defend it? Lenko steps over the head and cranks it - Dunn is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Lenko!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jarmo Lenko!
