Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mikael Ahokangas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juhani Virtanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ahokangas comes to the cage accompanied by Sentenced - Cross my heart and hope to die. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mikael Ahokangas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Juhani Virtanen! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ahokangas. Virtanen is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Virtanen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Virtanen working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Virtanen trying to control the position but Ahokangas is working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ahokangas is pushing Virtanen's head away, looking to escape. Virtanen manages to hold on to the position though. Virtanen wants to control but Ahokangas is keeping him busy. Ahokangas sneaks back into half guard. Ahokangas is looking to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ahokangas tries to roll over but Virtanen keeps him under control. Virtanen seems to be working for a kimura but Ahokangas defends the submission attempt. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ahokangas is not content to let Virtanen control the position. Virtanen is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Ahokangas keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Ahokangas wants to get back to full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ahokangas scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Ahokangas is breathing heavily. Virtanen tries to bench press Ahokangas off him but Ahokangas keeps the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ahokangas is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Virtanen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Ahokangas thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Virtanen manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Virtanen frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Virtanen trying to control but Ahokangas is having none of it. Virtanen moves to take his opponent's back. Virtanen gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Virtanen is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
