Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcello Cobretti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Watkin Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cobretti's entrance music is White Zombie - Black Sunshine . A fine choice. Jones is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Evil Boy. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcello Cobretti! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Watkin Jones! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Cobretti, as that shot connected.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jones.
Jones fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cobretti. Jones throws a head kick that Cobretti semi-blocks.
Cobretti throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Jones looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Cobretti has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jones. Jones throws a sloppy head kick and Cobretti moves out of range easily. Jones throws a head kick that half lands.
Jones lets loose with a powerful body kick. Cobretti will feel that in the morning. Jones checks a leg kick. Jones cracks a nice hook into Cobretti's ribs. Cobretti pushing out the jab but it's not landing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. A telegraphed right hand from Cobretti misses the target. Jones with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Jones throws out a loose jab but Cobretti uses good head movement to avoid it. Cobretti avoids the head kick by Jones.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cobretti has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Jones. Jones lands a nice leg kick that just misses Cobretti's sensitive parts. Cobretti walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Cobretti misses with a looping left. Jones takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Jones paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Cobretti misses with a head kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Jones. Cobretti closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jones to the mat! Jones manages to get full guard. Cobretti throwing strikes but missing. Cobretti stops Jones from standing up. Cobretti landing some decent shots from guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cobretti is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Jones is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Cobretti's corner is telling him to maintain position. Cobretti sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jones's guard. Jones wants to improve his position but Cobretti is controlling well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Cobretti perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Jones looks like he's trying to stand up.
Cobretti trying to control from Jones's half guard. Jones has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Cobretti throwing strikes but missing. Cobretti trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cobretti wants to pass the guard but Jones is keeping the position. Cobretti in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Cobretti trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cobretti throws an elbow that misses. Jones uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cobretti's guard. Nice move by Jones! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones controls from within his opponent's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Watkin Jones will probably get the nod. That's time! Cobretti's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Jones throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Cobretti throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Cobretti closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away. Cobretti tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it. Cobretti tries a head kick but it misses.

Cobretti dives in and scores a takedown into Jones's guard. Jones is looking to stand up but Cobretti isn't so interested in that idea. Jones keeping full guard, as Cobretti tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cobretti prevents Jones from getting back to his feet. Cobretti in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Cobretti passes Jones's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Cobretti trying to control from half guard but Jones is working away. Cobretti looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Cobretti is trying to control. Jones wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cobretti thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jones's head. Jones tries to kick Cobretti off in order to stand up. Cobretti Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Cobretti wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working. Jones parries the strikes from Cobretti easily there. Cobretti is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Jones to escape.
Cobretti remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Cobretti cracks Jones with an elbow. That is naaassty.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cobretti tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Cobretti wants to take a breather but Jones manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Cobretti. Jones is trying to keep Cobretti in close.
Cobretti throwing strikes from guard but Jones blocks nicely. Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cobretti sitting in guard here, content to control. Cobretti makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Cobretti with a flurry of punches that miss. Cobretti not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cobretti wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Jones manages to escape and get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcello Cobretti dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Cobretti checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. An inside leg kick lands from Jones. Jones slips a straight right by Cobretti. Cobretti is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Cobretti loads up on a big right hand but Jones slips the punch. Cobretti avoids the head kick by Jones.
Jones throws a solid leg kick but Cobretti takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Jones. Cobretti is looking to chop away at Jones's legs. Cobretti jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Cobretti has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jones. A head kick misses from Jones. Jones misses with a series of wild punches.
Cobretti thows a body shot but no joy. Cobretti feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Cobretti sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That's one minute gone in the round. Cobretti is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jones is just riding it out for now. Cobretti eventually gives up the hold. Cobretti missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Jones controlling the position for now. Jones wants to control the action here but instead Cobretti manages to pass to full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cobretti controlling from mount. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cobretti cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Cobretti throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Jones tries to reverse the position but Cobretti maintains control. Cobretti wants to control but Jones has made it back to half guard. Nice work. Cobretti wants to advance to full mount but Jones doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Cobretti has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cobretti wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. Cobretti stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cobretti trying to move into half guard but instead Jones has managed to sweep!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cobretti tries to land a sweep but no joy. Cobretti is working hard here to advance position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Marcello Cobretti. A jab lands there for Jones. Watkin Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jones misses with a hook. A head kick misses from Cobretti. Cobretti digs a good hook to Jones's body.
Jones blocks the body kick.
Cobretti fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jones to the ground. Cobretti is now in Jones's guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cobretti is fighting to break Jones's control of his arms but Jones is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Cobretti postures up in Jones's guard and throws a big left but Jones blocks it.
And that's the end of the fight! Marcello Cobretti showed his dominance in that final round. I think Cobretti has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
