Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Robico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dkjsdf Trkschtff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dkjsdf Trkschtff told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body kick from Trkschtff.
Trkschtff throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Robico shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Robico has control of Trkschtff's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Trkschtff regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Trkschtff regains half guard.
Trkschtff really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Robico. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Robico wants to control but Trkschtff is keeping him busy.

Robico seems to be working for a kimura but Trkschtff defends the submission attempt.
Robico is looking for a kimura but Trkschtff is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Robico to get the leverage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Trkschtff fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Robico manages to avoid it.

Robico's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Robico duly obliges.
Trkschtff throws a leg kick but Robico sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Robico tries for a takedown but Trkschtff sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Robico. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Trkschtff tries a low kick but Robico avoids it.
Robico shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Trkschtff as he avoids it easily.
Robico shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Trkschtff as he jumps to the side.
Trkschtff lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Trkschtff.
Robico changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Trkschtff tries to avoid it but Robico manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Trkschtff to the ground. Trkschtff escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Robico shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Robico slips a jab and a cross from Trkschtff.
Robico looks for a takedown but Trkschtff sprawls well.
Trkschtff throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Robico scores with a takedown into Trkschtff's guard.

Robico has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Trkschtff wants to stand and escape but Robico is having none of it.

Robico is in close to Trkschtff's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Robico throws a big right hand that misses.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Trkschtff keeps Robico at a distance using the push kick.
Trkschtff throws a solid leg kick but Robico takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Trkschtff.
Robico fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Trkschtff, pushing him back against the cage.
Trkschtff is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Robico pulls Trkschtff into guard.
Robico working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Trkschtff doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Trkschtff manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Robico is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Trkschtff bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
A jab from Trkschtff misses.
Trkschtff throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Robico decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Trkschtff's guard.
Robico forces his way into half guard.
Robico passes to full mount!
Robico trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Robico working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Trkschtff looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Robico! Submission of the night perhaps?
