Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hiruku Matah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derick Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moore is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Thunderhorse. Derick Moore will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hiruku Matah! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Derick Moore! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Steve Montenegro and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moore fails with the takedown and Matah counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Moore's guard now. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Matah stopping the sweep attempt from Moore. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Matah tries to free his leg and advance position but Moore is retaining full guard. Moore can't keep his opponent in guard - Matah advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Matah wants to work for an arm triangle but Moore is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Matah takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Moore actively working from the bottom here. Moore is trying to get back to full guard. Matah wants to pass to mount but Moore is defending the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Matah lands a nice short elbow. Matah wants to pass the guard but Moore is defending well. Still in half guard, Matah seems content to control. Matah is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Moore defends it well. Matah is thwarting Moore's attempts to control the position. Moore is not content to let Matah control the position. Moore trying to control from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Matah in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Moore tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Matah!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Hiruku Matah!
