2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcus J Whyte! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whyte throws a nice outside leg kick. Whyte stuffs the takedown. Nice takedown defense from Whyte. No joy for Petuchini on that attempt. Petuchini fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Whyte to the ground. Petuchini is now in Whyte's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Whyte is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Whyte lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Petuchini! Whyte punishing his opponent with strikes. Whyte sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Whyte punishing his opponent with strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Whyte can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Petuchini is looking to escape. Whyte scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Petuchini?

That's one minute gone in the round. Whyte avoids the attempt from Petuchini to control. Whyte landing strikes, looking to finish! Whyte working the ground and pound effectively.
The referee warns Petuchini that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Whyte working away from the top, dropping strikes. Whyte has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Petuchini is in a horrible position here. Whyte smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Petuchini is rocked! Whyte can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Petuchini is looking to escape. Whyte lands a big shot there that rocks Petuchini but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Whyte tries to control but Petuchini wriggling away. Petuchini seems to have got his legs back now. Whyte raining down shots from the mount!
Petuchini is rocked! Petuchini prevents any damage by holding on tight. Whyte wants to finish this one by submission but Petuchini is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Whyte. BOOM! Whyte connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Oh Petuchini is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Whyte connects with a bit shot that sees Petuchini covering up! More strikes from Whyte and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Whyte is our winner by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marcus J Whyte! Marcus J Whyte spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
