And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Maximus Sol!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettis shoots in but no luck this time.
Pettis shoots in and drives through. Sol sprawls well.
Sol misses with the combination.
Sol stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anthony Pettis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pettis misses with a takedown attempt
and Pettis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Sol stuns Pettis with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Pettis shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sol sprawls well. Sol wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pettis gets slowly back to his feet.
Sol just misses with a punch to the body.
Sol takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Sol misses with a jab, cross combination.

Pettis tries for a takedown but Sol circles away easily

and Sol counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Sol is trying to break the clinch but Pettis is controlling him.

Sol wants to get back to striking at distance but Pettis won't allow it.

Sol shoots in looking for a takedown. Pettis tries to sprawl out of it but Sol keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pettis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Pettis scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Sol wants to improve his position but Pettis is controlling well.

Pettis is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sol doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pettis.
Sol is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Pettis is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pettis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sol is just riding it out for now. Pettis eventually gives up the hold.

Pettis is trying a forearm choke� I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Anthony Pettis will probably get the nod.
That's time! Pettis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Sol swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pettis shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sol defends it nicely.

Sol throws a combination. Pettis tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Pettis shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sol defends it nicely.
Sol throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pettis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Sol jabs Pettis to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Sol moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Sol lands with a nice combination. Pettis backs away looking to recover.

Pettis takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Sol scores with a hook.
Sol swings for the body but Pettis moves out of range.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Sol!
Sol displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pettis.
Nice uppercut lands for Sol. That snapped Pettis's head back.
Sol fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pettis looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Sol scores with a sloppy right hand. Pettis should have avoided that one.

Sol shoots in for a takedown but Pettis shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Sol tries to bum rush Pettis with a series of wild strikes but Pettis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
No luck for Pettis with that takedown attempt.

A lazy left from Sol finds it's target.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pettis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sol as he jumps to the side.
Sol dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Maximus Sol showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!


A right-left combo lands from Sol.
Sol misses with a double jab.
Maximus Sol seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Sol bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Sol looks to score with a jab to the body but Pettis is just out of range.

Pettis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sol's guard.

Pettis drops back looking for a leg! Sol is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sol manages to kick Pettis off! Pettis jumps back into Sol's guard.

Pettis is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sol is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sol has escaped and now he's on top!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sol stays in close to Pettis's body and controls the position.

Pettis is looking for a triangle but Sol pushes his legs off easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Pettis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sol gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sol stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pettis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Pettis is looking to sinch up a triangle. Sol throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Pettis's body to avoid the submission. Pettis has instead reached around Sol's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Pettis arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Anthony Pettis!
